Ephesians
Paul talks of a dispensation of grace (a timeline) and a mystery about the gentiles given to him through revaluation by God in 3:3-7.
This timeline is commonly known as the Church age. The age which we now live in.
This mystery is alluded to in single verses throughout the OT. Such as Isaiah 27:13 “ And it shall to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and shall worship the LORD in the Holy mount at Jerusalem.”
Assyria is Isreal’s ancient enemy. So how is it they will be coming down to worship God in Jerusalem? Well I guess someone evangelized them.
To the modern Christian this is not much of a revaluation. But to those in Paul’s day, this message would’ve been scandalous! Thank God we live in this age of GRACE where any and all who repent and receive forgiveness in Christ Jesus can be saved! DOTG @dhbclv
