— Gnostics — The Knights Templar found something even more threaten to the Roman Catholic Church, an alternative believe system. The Templars were Christian, but not in the strict sense as most of Europe was and more importantly as their King and employers were. Spreading information contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church, was not only heresy, it was a death sentence, especially during the times of the Crusades, religions were at war. The Templars couldn’t speak about their findings, but they couldn’t ignore them either, so instead they hid them, they protected them, and studied them. Some ancient wisdom included blasphemous ideas such as the Divine Feminine, reincarnation, heaven as a state of mind, and inner connection to the creator. The Templars maintain their appearance as devoted Catholics, they had to, their biggest patron and endorsement was the Roman Catholic Church, you don’t bite the hand that feeds you, especially the most powerful hand at the time, but in secret, the Knights Templar were “Christian Gnostics”.
