Double tap to edit — Oak Island — The French Monarchy was in conflict with the Templars, so it was unavoidable that issues would come to a head. The Templars had gotten wind of possible actions being in place by King Phillip of France, so twenty-four hours before the arrest of Jacques De Molay on October Friday the 13th, 1307, a fleet of Templar ships had sailed away from France under the cover of darkness. The French Monarchy, who had expected to confiscate Templar treasure, found nothing but empty store houses. Some of the Templar ships made it to “Oak Island” in North America what is known today as Nova Scotia, Canada, burying some of their treasure there and elsewhere, the Knights Templar became the original pirates we hear in legends and stories.
