The Aeldari Empire lasted 60 million years and spanned the majority of the Milky Way. But they got bored and said, “let’s get sussy wussy” and through the sheer level of despair in their big brains they created the fourth Chaos God, Slaanesh. The Chaos Gods reside in an alternate dimension. This is called many things such as the immaterium, unrealspace, or more commonly: the Warp. There was Nurgle, grandfather Rot and his of decay. Tzeench, god of change. Khorn, the Blood God on the Skull Throne. And now Slaanesh, Lord of Excess. Enough of that. Around this time, humanity started being human. And a good handful of them were the most powerful shamans to ever exist. They all did a ritual where they died at the same time to create the strongest Perpetual(immortal) ever. He would guide humanity from the shadows, keeping them secretly safe from Chaos. As humanity grew, so did its knowledge. They expanded to far away stars, scientists were their new gods. They found Warptravel, a way of traveling faster than light. But as humanity always does, they tampered with things not to be tampered with. The Men of Iron were created. Sentient machines made to be humanity’s slaves. Like all movies with robots, they rebelled. Humanity took irreversible damage, and some say they only won through Xenos(alien) intervention. The outlawing of Artificial or now Abominable Intelligence was enforced. This was called the Dark Age of Technology. Not due to advancements going backwards, but because almost no knowledge of this period or anything before it is left. This led us to the aptly named: Age of Strife. During the period, one giant Warpstorm split the human inhabited civilization landers apart. Warptravel was no longer possible. Some planets devolved into primal civilizations, while others turned into Mad Max like techno-barbarians. It was the worst time on the planet: Terra(Earth) nuclear war eas so bad the last ocean dried up. It was at this point where one man decided enough was enough. Humanity needed his guidance now more than ever. He was, the Emperor of Mankind.
