Cities around the world are reportedly sinking under the weight of their own buildings. A study conducted in San Francisco by seismologist Tom Parsons found the cities buildings weight roughly 3.5 trillion pounds, possibly enough weight to damage the Earth’s outer crust. Parson calculates this may have caused a sink in the land by 3 inches.
