Apigenin is both anti-inflammatory & anti-fibrotic in animal studies, for liver, scalp, lung, & skin fibrosis. Apigenin reduces TNFa, PGE2, iNOS, NO, COX2, IFN-gamma, & IL-2. Apigenin also downregulates the TGF-beta1 gene which has a strong inhibitory effect on hair follicles.
