December 7th, it\u2019s a day Americans won\u2019t forget. Only a 30 min drive from where I\u2019m standing. Was where one of the worst tragedies in U.S. history took place. On the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Where 2,400 soldiers and civilians perished in the early morning on December 7th 1941 by the Japanese Imperial Navy. 1,177 deaths came from the USS Arizona when a high altitude bomb penetrated the ships deck and exploded the ships gunpowder magazine. The then sank to the bottom of the harbor. As an American myself I will always remember the men lost when I come across the memorial.
