Even though some Twitter users are still mad at the errant grandkids, Papaw forgives them. He was also thrilled to find out he'd become an Internet celebrity. In honor of all the well-wishes and his newfound fame, Papaw's throwing a barbecue, and he wants everybody who can make it to come. The Harmon family posted an invitation to the cookout publicly on Twitter.
Harmon told BuzzFeed, "The cookout is taking place at a flea market the Harmon family owns in Purcell, Oklahoma, on March 26."
Burgers will cost $2, and they're selling T-shirts that say, "I had a burger with Papaw" for around $25.
"It was Pawpaw's idea to have the cookout," Harmon said. "He loves all of this. He never ever thought he would be a celebrity."
The Harmon family had better watch out. Now that Papaw's an Internet celebrity, Twitter users from all over the country are buying tickets to come share a burger with him. Here's hoping all the grandkids make it this time.
